There are two aspects to the company and this role, one would be the warehouse shipping and receiving, which would be Monday to Friday, the second is to learn and develop on construction and general labour for the real estate side of the business


Job Purpose:


Applicant must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record as they will have access to a company car


Looking for a driven, proactive team player to provide warehouse and general labour support to the organization and the real estate development.


This role would allow for individuals to work 60+ hours a week, with the opportunity to grow and develop both their warehouse and general construction experience.

This is a dynamic, dual role that requires someone with passion and a keen interest to learn and develop themselves.


Key Accountabilities:


Warehouse:


  • Open, unpack, sort, repack products and materials into packages
  • Package and ship orders
  • Move products and materials throughout the assembly process
  • Examine and inspect materials and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
  • Perform other laboring and elemental activities
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
  • Complying with Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety Standards
  • Create work orders for repairs and inventory lists
  • Provide warehouse support including the logging in of shipped materials
  • Provide organization to the warehouse by removing extra materials from the floor
  • Assist with other duties as reasonably assigned from time to time.

General Labour/Construction

  • Ability to work in different environments and conductions (indoors, outdoors, hot, cold)
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to work weekends and OT when needed
  • Willingness to learn, gain new skills and develop themselves
  • Proactively anticipate next steps and requirements

Competencies:


  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft systems: Word, Excel and PowerPoint would be an asset.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$17.00-$21.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)


  • Construction: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
