- Meets with customers in conjunction with Sales personnel to evaluate projects and determine Emmerson Packaging's ability to meet customer requirements
- Collaborates with Innovation and Research & Development personnel on the development of new products, packaging procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and packaging equipment
- Provides technical support to customers during trial evaluations at customers' facilities
- Prepares timely and concise reports on customer visits
- Visits customer facilities in response to quality issues or concerns
- Works with customers to optimize packaging performance on packaging lines
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must have proven ability to effectively manage and lead multiple projects
- Must have proven strong process improvement abilities
- Must have proven ability to effectively collect and analyze data
- Must have strong interpersonal skills in a cross-functional team environment
- Must have basic understanding of data evaluation, packaging specifications, packaging equipment, qualification process, and product and package stability in the flexible packaging industry
- Must have basic understanding of film used in flexible packaging industry
- Five (5) years' experience in the flexible packaging industry
- Experience with pouch-making, converting, and end-user packaging equipment
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel extensively as needed.
- Experience working in a quality system environment
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a degree in Packaging
