Marketing team leads the institutional Marketing and Recruitment Plan, manages brand, marketing and recruitment initiatives, and operates key digital marketing channels.


The Opportunity


Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Recruitment you are responsible for the development, operational oversight and the implementation of recruitment and engagement strategies in support of SAIT's strategic enrolment management and revenue objectives.

You are a strategic, creative and tactical recruitment marketing professional with an interest in experiential marketing and engagement

You are a trend-seeker, and more importantly, a trend-setter. Your events are memorable and unmistakably SAIT. Your recruitment events go beyond traditional classroom visits to unique venues with unique, targeted audiences.

You understand the role of research in developing data-informed recruitment marketing initiatives and collaborate closely with SAIT's business intelligence to understand audiences and market opportunities.

Your flawless execution of events evoke emotion and engage multiple senses beyond just visual.

During events you ensure guests are attended to with experts and knowledge of post-secondary education, our programs and our admissions processes, and where required you provide training to event ambassadors.

You are on-hand at many of these events to fulfil an advising role yourself.


You have exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to cultivate strong relationships and partnerships with various stakeholders including prospective students, parents, guidance counsellors, career advisors, referral agencies, other college and universities alumni, partners, faculty, staff, suppliers and other organizations.

In ensuring client satisfaction, you show a passion for quality and attention to detail.

You are recognized as a community and consensus builder and work to create a collaborative environment leading to extensive stakeholder buy-in and engagement.

The Role:

Event Marketing:


  • Develops, plans, executes and oversees all recruitment events and engagement strategies for prospective high school students and their parents, adult, nontraditional, and transfer students by proactively arranging visits, responding to event invitations, and seeking out new markets.
  • Ensures that appropriate metrics are defined, monitored, reported, analyzed, refined and examined for all marketing and campus and virtual engagement activities as a basis for strategy development.
  • Maintains a clear understanding of generational characteristics to recognize the needs of all audiences at different stages throughout the enrolment management funnel.
  • Assists with research projects, tactical strategy development, compiles data, and creates evaluations around event effectiveness.
  • Brainstorms and proposes new and innovative ideas to improve prospective student engagement for the purpose of recruitment.
  • Maintains recruitment event calendar for longrange planning and preparation.
  • Organizes all aspects of event from conception to completion including, but not limited to: goals/objectives, detailed timelines and task lists, budgets, scheduling rooms/venues, staffing and assignments, logistics, fire marshal approvals, transportation, custodial, catering/hospitality, decor, entertainment, supplies and promotional items needed, evaluation and final reports, and researching venues.
  • Conducts briefings and/or regular meetings with Director, students and volunteers as needed, debriefings with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate event program materials.
  • Manages and staff all events.
  • Conducts annual review and assesses needs for future events.
  • Monitors recruitment mailbox inquiries and event responses and reservations, ensures appropriate staff/students know event details to help field questions and serve as primary contact to eventrelated questions.
  • Coordinates presenters, participants and guest speakers as needed.
  • Works with the team to initiate advertising, printing, signage, invitation mailing, and media notifications to promote events.

Client Services:


  • Represent SAIT at campuswide meetings, proactively providing expertise and insight with respect to recruitment and marketing issues and advocating on behalf of the prospective student audience.
  • Ensure project planning includes stakeholder input and considerations.
  • Support a stakeholder's approach in all aspects of the work we do, with a focus on
- transparency and inclusion.

  • Administers, and overseas the daytoday operations and activities of SAIT's recruitment marketing engagement and events.
