Processing Specialist_ to join our growing team.
Job purpose
The Processing Specialist oversees all activities directly relating to the activities of all bake end staff and equipment on their line to ensure a safe, efficient, and organized.
Duties and Responsibilities
The associate's primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:
- Plan, coordinate, lead and participate with various multi-disciplined teams addressing objectives associated with the manufacturing process, productivity, volume outputs, quality, safety, and delivery commitments to optimize a profitable operation.
- Use root cause analysis and structured problemsolving techniques to investigate inefficiencies, recurring issues, waste and create new processes to make the manufacturing/ business department more efficient.
- Establish and create baseline profile for mixer and maintain existing mixer profiles.
- Establish and create sheeter, oven, profiles for new products and maintain sheeter and oven profile for existing products.
- Establish and create baselines for all new weight checker profile and maintain for existing profile.
- Assist with line trials or line speed trials as required.
- Responsible for training of operators for products and processes.
- Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
- Carry out incident, accident and nonconformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
- Issue disciplinary action when needed.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience working in a bakery environment preferred.
- Must be a team player, have good organizational skills and the ability to work with mínimal supervision, and possess a safety first approach to work.
- Detail oriented
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer and MS Office skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including overtime and have dependable attendance.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Working conditions
- Always work indoors.
- Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting and temperature.
Physical requirements
- Sitting involved.
- May repeat the same movement.
- Typing involved.

Salary:
$50,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
