We are seeking a
Client Account Administrator (12 Month Term) to join our Coughlin team in Winnipeg, MB.

The Client Account Administrator provides administrative services to the Single
- and Multi

  • Employer Plans and does so in such a way as to enable the smooth operation and administration of the plans. This includes answering telephone inquiries and corresponding with the employers and members of various plans on such matters as coverage, admissions, terminations & beneficiaries. Looking for an enthusiastic team player, who can also work independently with minimum supervision in a fastpaced environment.

The Client Account Administrator will:


Technical Activities

  • Master the inhouse database systems called CAPS. Create, maintain, and update coverage in the database system.
  • Verify premium rates for various benefits and process rate changes.
  • Collect, reconcile & balance employer reports, member payment via cheques, EFT, or credit/debit.
  • Learn the online credit card system to collect payments from members and set up accounts and reoccurring billing.
  • Track, update, code and enter reports into the CAPS system.
  • Maintain and review Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP).
  • Prepare correspondence to members, employers.
  • Verify the accuracy of premiums, employer reports, and self payments received.
  • Work closely with the accounting team.
  • Assist with the Year-End reconciliations of the internal database, CAPS.
  • Prepare invoices/credit memos for discrepancies in remittances.
  • Clarify information in insurance contracts and booklets.
  • Contribute to any other tasks or projects assigned.

Communication/Liaison

  • Respond to clients, members, or other external contacts in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner at all times.
  • Provide guidance to employers or members about coverage, eligibility, reinstatement, or termination.
  • Provide general information regarding benefits.
  • Restrict access to confidential information pertaining to the company and its stakeholders.
  • Inform the senior team member of any issues which arise out of the course of daily work.

To be successful
as a Client Account Administrator
with Coughlin & Associates, you will need:

  • Education/skills acquired at a secondary level or higher.
  • At least 12 years of related work experience in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • To demonstrate the ability to learn and master new software and technology.
  • To directly respond to clients and their member inquiries, and executing their instructions.
  • Superior data entry skills and strong mathematical and reconciliation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask, and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • The ability to adhere to existing company policies and procedures.
  • The ability to use tact and discretion to maintain information in the strictest of confidence.
**- Group benefits insurance industry experience is considered an asset.

  • Bilingualism in both official languages is considered an asset.
