Description

***Reporting to the Store Manager, BC, this Retail Worker will work in the farm and feed supply store as a cashier providing exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete all paperwork required for assigned tasks ensuring proper regulatory documentation for food and chemical safety, and follow quality standards
Follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies
Outstanding organizational abilities and demonstrated accurate attention to detail
Process customer orders with respective vendors
Move received inventory to appropriate store areas, front product daily and general housekeeping duties
Educate customers on the differing merits of products to best find one suited to their needs
Strong problemsolving skills, collaborative and communication skills.
Able to work in a fastpaced environment and efficiently multitask under tight deadlines
Must be able to lift occasional bags of feed or product, and perform other duties as required.

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA

Grade 12 or equivalent
Ability to communicate and write in English
Training on the job g
Animal health and/or horticultural knowledge required
23 yrs. experience in a mill, warehouse, greenhouse, or farm preferred

REQUIRED TICKETS

Veterinary dispensing certificate will be provided

GOOD TO KNOW

Ability to stand for long periods
Often exposed to loud sounds, distracting noise levels, and dusty hot/cold environments.
Casual, Parttime, (Saturday mandatory), shifts vary through 7AM 5:30 PM
