The Opportunity

We are seeking a Facilities Technician to join our Canada Gas Operations team in the Central Region based in Thunder Bay, ON.

- _Week 1: Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day; Friday is an 8-hour day_
- _Week 2: Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day; Friday is a Regular Day Off (RDO)_

What you'll do- Ensure facilities and personnel comply with TC Energy's health, safety, environment, and risk standards- Perform monthly and annual preventive maintenance and inspections on site equipment- Perform routine pipeline, gas measurement and compression maintenance activities as required- Understand emergency management, preparedness and response procedures for work locations- Oversee third party contractors- Interpret technical reference documents, drawings and vendor manuals- Perform basic maintenance such as installing building signage and repairing fences- Perform basic additional duties such as routine administration, clerical duties, etc.

- Provide assistance to technicians and other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma / GED and completion of a second year of trades program or two years of technical training- Excellent work safety record and a safe work attitude

Preferred Qualifications- Apprenticeship (Journeyman Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic accreditation; Industrial Electrician (442A), Electronic Engineering Technician or Technologist)- Experience using SAP- Previous experience in the oil and natural gas industry- Previous Facilities experience with a variety of tasks in construction, operation and maintenance of either pipeline or compressor facilities or clean-up work- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record- Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, to include drug and alcohol testing Travel within the assigned area of responsibility as well as occasionally to other company locations which may include overnight trips (25% of the time)- Spend long periods at a computer work station, drive long distances and be exposed to field operations and construction environments
