Reporting to the ownership team and Senior Director of Operations and the General Manager will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and overseeing front of house staff.
Your role:
- Lead the floor management team, comfortable and able to provide guidance and ongoing coaching as needed.
- Assist in the management of the team of staff including scheduling, training and general supervision.
- Oversee that all opening and closing duties are completed correctly and that cleanliness is maintained.
- Balancing daily and nightly cash outs and POS.
- Inventory and maintenance of par levels for front of house items.
- Be a source of knowledge on all things food, beverage and 100 Kellogg Lane.
- Enforce and monitor all health, safety and sanitation standards in the restaurant.
- Work closely with back of house managers and events department to provide a seamless experience every time.
- Manage workload and ensure effective working of restaurant activities and maintain excellent standards to meet operational expectations.
- Coordinate with team to meet sales targets, ensure customer satisfaction and follow company procedures to increase productivity.
- Handle guest concerns according to guidelines.
- Responsible for quality assurance of products leaving their outlets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Must have:
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience in a full service establishment.
- Experience working with a POS system.
- Organized and capable of multitasking with attention to detail.
- Exemplary communication and organizational skills with a cando attitude.
- High standards for hygiene and personal appearances.
- Ability to be on your feet for a long period of time.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Time management skills.
- Strong leadership skills and a team mindset.
- Smart Serve.
Nice to have:
- A diploma or certificate in a hospitality related field.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office, TouchBistro, CentreEdge and TripleSeat an asset.
