The Traffic Controller plays a critical role in the successful completion of Milestones projects. General Laborer's contribute to efficient daily productions through proactive thinking, preplanning and active communication with operators and management. Traffic Controller's are key contributing members of the team and have the opportunity to exponentially learn and grow. Milestone's civil division works on a variety of different projects. The work includes civil & infrastructure, environmental construction, industrial & commercial, residential development, landscaping, and much more

Duties & Responsibilities - What is my role?

Able to work flexible hours and oncall shifts
Ability to listen to and communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly under pressure while remaining professional
Physically able to fulfill job requirements and work long hours outdoors in all kinds of weather
Responsible for the setup, maintenance, and takedown of signage at the job site
Ensure the accurate set up of lanes that flow and provide safety to motorists and personal at the job site

Qualifications & Requirements - What skills & qualifications do I need?

Valid BCCSA Traffic Control Person Certificate
Valid driver's license and clean abstract
Must have own reliable vehicle
Ability to work in all weather
Punctual and reliable
Friendly, positive, and open attitude, always willing to learn and improve
Ability to work and communicate within a team
Help promote and work within a culture of jobsite safety, where safety is everyone's #1 priority
Experience as a general laborer in construction industry is an asset
Attention to detail is an asset
