Who You Are


As a Landscape Maintenance staff member you are an energetic team player with great work ethic, a passion to succeed, and the drive to grow with an authentic & fun company.

Landscape Maintenance staff perform manual jobs to maintain landscaped areas for both strata and commercial properties. As an Irrigation Technician you will be addressing all the irrigation needs that are required throughout the year.

This includes the starting of the irrigation systems in the spring, creating the watering program for the site that complies with Metro Vancouver's watering bylaws, repairing any deficiencies that will affect the systems watering capabilities and shutting down the system properly in the fall.


The job duties include:


  • Installing softscape materials (ie. soil, mulch, sod, etc.)
  • Maintaining your own company vehicle and driving it to required job sites
  • Using a variety of power tools and equipment for maintenance
  • Testing the soil and vegetation to determine irrigation needs
  • Mapping out areas for irrigation installation
  • Digging trenches and repairing and maintaining pipes and lines.
  • Conducting routine maintenance checks.
  • Troubleshooting and replacing faulty parts.
  • Completing progress reports and associated paperwork

Requirements:


  • Ability to perform physically demanding manual labor in all types of weather for potentially long hours
  • Ability to take direction, work on your own and as part of a team
  • At least 2 years of irrigation experience required
  • Consistency and dedication to performing physical tasks
  • Class 5 Driver's License
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems such as Rainbird, Toro, etc.
  • Knowledge of plumbing is an asset
  • Knowledge of soil, vegetation and climate is an asset
  • Positive and professional team attitude with exceptional customer service
