- Establishing a systems architecture for the Enterprise Applications, that enables systems integration between cloud native applications, databases and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software. The architecture should allow fast and efficient continuous deployments, and operations.
- Sustainability and continuous improvement of effective, efficient Enterprise Application Systems.
- Defining and establishing a Transition Mode of Operations and Future Mode of Operations for the Application Systems ONxpress will operate and maintain, that enables cost savings, stability, security, flexibility, scalability, and incremental improvements.
- Interdepartmental relationships including collaboration with other entities in the group to ensure seamless interaction and data flows of Asset Data through all relevant IT systems.
- Cost effective development and systems integration of all IT Systems according to benchmarks and best practices and within defined cost frameworks.
- Close collaboration with the nominated members of the contracting authority and all third parties Responsibility
- Developing and Implementing an Enterprise Application strategy as an integral part of the IT Strategy and in close alignment with the Head of IT.
- Tracking and evaluating the latest technology trends and implementing them to optimize the Enterprise Application systems.
- Consult and collaborate with senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization and contracting authority to identify business and technology needs, innovations and to optimize the IT operations.
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
- Assist in the document submittal and approval process with the Contracting Authority
- Implement a strong, collaborative culture and procedures to continuously improve the Enterprise application systems.
- Create a solution lifecycle roadmap for the Enterprise application systems - plan, organize, control, evaluate and improve the systems (implementation, development, operations) in alignment of evolving ONxpress needs and priorities.
- Draw added value from lean principles, agile methods, and modern forms of collaboration (BizDevOps).
- Support Organizational Change activities and communication. Experience
- 5+ years of experience working in IT operations and supervising technology teams
- Has a track record of successfully operating IT systems, ideally in the Rail industry
- Experienced in large, complex IT transition or outsourcing projects Competencies & Skills
- Specialist domain knowledge of Cloud operations, systems integration and ITIL
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of project management principles
- Deep understanding of lean principles, agile methods, and modern forms of collaboration (DevOps) Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- iSAQB Certified Professional for Software Architecture
- Certified Scrum Product Owner
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- ITIL certification
