Description

Volume Freight Solutions is a non-asset based 3PL, which coordinates the movement of freight in all modes of transportation, globally.


We are looking to add a motivated, self starter to our growing team, in the capacity of Customer and Administrative Support.

Experience within the industry is an asset, but not required.

  • Proficient in verbal and written communication, clear and concise
  • Proficient in Outlook, MS Office Suite,
  • Outgoing, quality customer service mindset, persuasive negotiating skills
  • Effective independently, and in a team setting
  • Willingness to learn; Adaptable

Description of some of the functions for this role:
Order entry

  • Sending and storing load sheets
  • Communicate with Sales Team
Scheduling Appts

  • Track status and book accordingly
  • Update/maintain system accordingly
File maintenance (Customer/Carrier)

  • Customer and Carrier Profiles maintain and update as info changes


  • Carrier insurance

  • Monthly/quarterly audits and requests for renewals, maintaining up to date policies/sufficient coverage, safety checks
Tracking/Tracing loads

  • Track all freight in the morning/afternoon
  • Send updates to customers
  • Consistent Followups
  • Trouble shoot and communicate with Logistics Coordinators/ Customers / shippers/ receivers / Account reps as needed
  • A conduit between them all so to speak.
Invoicing

  • Obtain signed BOLs/PODs/back up documentation; Store/File documentation
  • Generate all invoices and send to customers
  • Communicate/Resolve inconsistencies
  • Weekly Volume/Margin/Service Reporting

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
