Description:
Position Responsibilities:
- Facilitate training and onboarding for newly hired associates and act as culture ambassador to support a positive associate experience
- Coordinate with business partners, including Supply Chain Leadership Team, Training Specialists, Safety, and Human Relations to ensure associates complete all requirements
- Work with the local management teams to create and manage training matrix for the department/location
- Take a lead in identifying best training practices, make improvements and share with these changes with the Leadership Team
- Provide information about the performance to the supervisors of your team and suggest alternatives that would lead to an improvement in said performance.
- Must possess excellent communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Able to lead others in highdemand situations
- Support associate engagement and retention initiatives at the facility(ies)
- Coordinate individual and group training events as needed
- Maintain documentation, including training logs, sign in sheets, and electronic signatures to verify training completion and ensure this information is logged
- Travel commensurate with requirements throughout the region you support
- Must be knowledgeable and be able to follow GMPs, Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements
Position Requirements:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in a unionized food, dairy, beverage or packaged goods industry is a definite asset
- Superior communication skills in a multicultural environment and the ability to deal with a variety of frontline industrial relations issues
- Takes initiative, exercises good judgment in daytoday business decisions
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of good labour/management practices including progressive discipline and positive reinforcement techniques
- Knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations and best practices
- The flexibility to adapt to a 24hour, 7day operation schedule
