What We Are Looking For:
Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurately collecting, preparing and analyzing data for daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting. These are for cash receipts, accounts receivable, WIP, billings, rates and analysis of client/timekeeper productivity and profitability.
- Conducting analysis and creating schedules to support the annual rates setting process
- Assist in the preparation of spreadsheets, charts and diagrams showing prior, current, budget, and projected revenues and expenditures to provide a basis for comparison and evaluation.
- Assisting in monitoring and analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide timely insight to management
- Developing financial models to measure and report on key performance indicators and support key inputs in the Annual budgeting process
- Creating and maintaining a standard set of reports that can be shared with various stakeholders
- Assisting with the preparation of written reports and presentations summarizing financial performance and providing insight to internal stakeholders, including senior management
- Provide assistance and preparation of schedules for external audits (Annual, CRA, LSO).
- Work with the Accounting Department, providing backup to other analyst position as needed
- Assisting with adhoc finance projects as requested
- Preparing adhoc financial analysis and reports as requested
- May be required to perform other duties as required within the scope of the role

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' reporting and analysis experience in a professional services setting
- Undergraduate degree in Business administration, Finance or related field
- Experience in the Finance group of a professional service firm with exposure to financial analysis is preferred
- Ability to write macros and basic SQL queries is considered an asset
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software (Aderant is preferred)
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools is preferred
- Advanced Excel knowledge is preferred
- Project management
- Experience with financial system implementations, workflows, and dashboards
- Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
Skills:
- Proven competence in investigating, addressing and resolving client issues in a timely manner
- Must be able to run projects and tasks with mínimal supervision
- Ability to document financial processes and procedures
- Creative thinking, positive attitude and ability to learn new functions quickly
