What We Are Looking For:


Responsibilities:


  • Timely and accurately collecting, preparing and analyzing data for daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting. These are for cash receipts, accounts receivable, WIP, billings, rates and analysis of client/timekeeper productivity and profitability.
  • Conducting analysis and creating schedules to support the annual rates setting process
  • Assist in the preparation of spreadsheets, charts and diagrams showing prior, current, budget, and projected revenues and expenditures to provide a basis for comparison and evaluation.
  • Assisting in monitoring and analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide timely insight to management
  • Developing financial models to measure and report on key performance indicators and support key inputs in the Annual budgeting process
  • Creating and maintaining a standard set of reports that can be shared with various stakeholders
  • Assisting with the preparation of written reports and presentations summarizing financial performance and providing insight to internal stakeholders, including senior management
  • Provide assistance and preparation of schedules for external audits (Annual, CRA, LSO).
  • Work with the Accounting Department, providing backup to other analyst position as needed
  • Assisting with adhoc finance projects as requested
  • Preparing adhoc financial analysis and reports as requested
  • May be required to perform other duties as required within the scope of the role

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years' reporting and analysis experience in a professional services setting
  • Undergraduate degree in Business administration, Finance or related field
  • Experience in the Finance group of a professional service firm with exposure to financial analysis is preferred
  • Ability to write macros and basic SQL queries is considered an asset
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software (Aderant is preferred)
  • Experience with BI and data visualization tools is preferred
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is preferred
  • Project management
  • Experience with financial system implementations, workflows, and dashboards
  • Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
