What We Are Looking For:

Responsibilities:

Timely and accurately collecting, preparing and analyzing data for daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting. These are for cash receipts, accounts receivable, WIP, billings, rates and analysis of client/timekeeper productivity and profitability.
Conducting analysis and creating schedules to support the annual rates setting process
Assist in the preparation of spreadsheets, charts and diagrams showing prior, current, budget, and projected revenues and expenditures to provide a basis for comparison and evaluation.
Assisting in monitoring and analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide timely insight to management
Developing financial models to measure and report on key performance indicators and support key inputs in the Annual budgeting process
Creating and maintaining a standard set of reports that can be shared with various stakeholders
Assisting with the preparation of written reports and presentations summarizing financial performance and providing insight to internal stakeholders, including senior management
Provide assistance and preparation of schedules for external audits (Annual, CRA, LSO).
Work with the Accounting Department, providing backup to other analyst position as needed
Assisting with adhoc finance projects as requested
Preparing adhoc financial analysis and reports as requested
May be required to perform other duties as required within the scope of the role

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years' reporting and analysis experience in a professional services setting
Undergraduate degree in Business administration, Finance or related field
Experience in the Finance group of a professional service firm with exposure to financial analysis is preferred
Ability to write macros and basic SQL queries is considered an asset
Extensive knowledge of accounting software (Aderant is preferred)
Experience with BI and data visualization tools is preferred
Advanced Excel knowledge is preferred
Project management
Experience with financial system implementations, workflows, and dashboards
Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands

Skills:

Proven competence in investigating, addressing and resolving client issues in a timely manner
Must be able to run projects and tasks with mínimal supervision
Ability to document financial processes and procedures
Creative thinking, positive attitude and ability to learn new functions quickly
Strong customer service skills
