Who We Are Looking For
The Credit and Collections Coordinator is an experienced and mature individual responsible for all aspects of the credit and collections cycle for the firm.
Reporting to the Controller, the position will take ownership of the firm's receivables and be responsible for maximizing the firm's cash inflows.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer and enforce credit and collections policies and procedures
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce volume of past due accounts and writeoffs
- Process payments and prepare the necessary paperwork
- Maintain and document a collection history on each file
- Identify delinquent/problem clients quickly
- Review and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, liaising with lawyers
- Send out reminder statements
- Review and execute WIP writeoffs
- Perform credit checks
- Manage the relationship and involvement of thirdparty collection agencies
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Education in a related field (Accounting/Business) an asset
- Minimum 3 years' experience at a comparable level of responsibility
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Excellent English oral and written skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to draft standard correspondence with minimum supervision
- Able to communicate with clients, lawyers and staff
- Familiar with billing/invoicing processes in a legal environment
- Small Claims experience
- Able to work independently with mínimal instructions
