Maintenance Technician - Lakefield, Canada - SGS

Description

• Assist with work orders as received for various responsibilities throughout the site.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Arrange furniture and equipment for special events or office moves.
• Assisting with set up and tear down of Pilot Plants.
• Assist skilled tradesman.
• Participate in meetings and training to gather information and skills to perform certain functions.
• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
• Transport tools, supplies and equipment.
• Set up with functions around site e.g. BBQ's, large meetings and social functions.
• Prepare written materials (e.g. activity logs, truck log books and inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties on various equipment e.g. (dust collectors, roof top fans, onsite vehicles, ventilation hoods, etc...
• Snow removal
• Grounds Keep
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

• Specific technical skills: Forklift license or previous 2-years of experience a strong asset.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
• Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).
• Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others & independently.
• Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Works well under pressure.
• Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
• Ensures full compliance with the company's Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
