Currently, Black & McDonald operates across Canada and the United States. The company has over 3,000 employees working out of a network of more than 20 offices.

Work with and prepare detailed diagrams, plans, drawings, reports and presentations
Coordinate, assess, and organize the work of various electrical projects
Use computeraided design (CAD) software and other resources to design the systems required for various projects
Attend a range of project, group and technical meetings
Liaise closely with other professionals including architects, engineers, contractors, builders, and surveyors
Coordinate daily operations and construction activities
Assist with the identification and resolution of field technical issues
Ensure site is operating in accordance to health, safety and environmental standards
Assist in planning schedules and monitoring progress against established schedules
Assess the impacts of schedule changes and notify parties involved
Solicit and submit shop drawings between vendors and owners for approval
Purchasing material and equipment for secured jobs

Requirements:

A College Diploma in Construction or Electrical Engineering Technology or a University Degree in Electrical Engineering
35 years' experience in the construction industry complete with electrical engineering and building construction skills
Experience in drafting practices for electrical and mechanical building systems
Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications and building material
Proficiency in the following design software: Revit, AutoCad, QuickPen PipeDesigner 3D,and QuickPen DuctDesigner 3D
Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
Ability to establish a strong working relationship with coworkers, vendors and clients
