Description
As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes.
The Accounting Manager will also produce financial reports for other senior managers to help improve operational efficiency and aid in continued growth.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing financial planning, budgeting and control procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across the company, while adhering to national and local legal standards
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Bookkeeping and data entry
- Preparation of account reconciliations
- Accounts receivables including billing and collections
- Accounts payables entry and cheque printing
- Payroll function
- Yearend files preparation
- Other related duties.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education including a professional accounting designation
- 5 or more years of seniorlevel accounting and finance staff supervisory experience
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Intermediate working knowledge of Excel including lookup and pivot table functions
