Responsibilities/Duties:


The research associate will coordinate Pediatric Orthopaedic research and will also assist multiple musculoskeletal research groups within CORe with recruitment, data collection and study management.


This role will include development of research proposals, obtaining ethics and administrative approval, and coordinating/completing data collection and analysis for studies selected by the associated research programs.

The research associate will also assist with knowledge translation activities including preparation of abstracts and manuscripts.


Qualifications:


  • MUST have a minimum of a healthrelated undergraduate diploma or degree;
    Applicants without this background will not be considered.
  • MSc or equivalent in healthrelated field preferred
  • Clinical research training/experience preferred; Connect Care experience an asset
  • Musculoskeletal knowledge/experience an asset
  • Competency with research design/statistical methods/analysis and software program(s) an asset
  • Ability to effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to different clinical sites within the Edmonton health zone to liaise with clinical staff and research participants as necessary; work will primarily be performed at a clinical site rather than remotely
  • Assertive, selfmotivated, and able to work independently with little supervision/instruction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with coworkers, clinicians, and participants
  • Able to deal discreetly with confidential information and follow privacy directives

Salary commensurate with experience.

Salary:
$28.00-$35.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Edmonton, AB T6G 2R8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
