We are currently seeking a Project Accounting Analyst to join our Boart Longyear team in Mississauga or Haileybury Canada.

Minimum Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Excel
Excellent communicator and attention to detail
Must be authorized to work in Canada
Must have valid Canada Driver's License
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS
Knowledge of Oracle modules is strongly preferred (Oracle project, GL, Cost management, etc.)
Responsibilities
Ensure proper project accounting processes are in place and followed
Ensure projects and related costs are accurately stated in the financial statements
Weekly Project cost review; provide analysis and reporting on project performance and monthly financial results
Track and report on capital spend, project capitalization
Reconcile the Equipment with the Fixed Asset register
Revenues and costs recognition aligned with the contract terms/conditions
Process monthend close tasks and adjusting entries
Field supervisor bonus calculation and process
Provide analysis on unbilled receivables and unearned revenues
Sales tax selfassessment and reporting
Joint Venture accounting, reconciliation, reporting and intercompany settlements
Ensure coordination of the zone office with the other shared services functions (AP, AR, payroll,
Accounting, legal, etc.)
Prepare ad hoc analysis on request
Participate in internal and external audit requests as needed
Project Administrator backup
This role will interact routinely with Boart Longyear Operations management teams.
Travel up to 10% and remote work flexibility
Reporting Relationship

The position reports directly to the Global Project Costing & FP&A, who is in Mississauga, Ontario.
