We are currently seeking a Project Accounting Analyst to join our Boart Longyear team in Mississauga or Haileybury Canada.Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communicator and attention to detail
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- Must have valid Canada Driver's License
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS
- Knowledge of Oracle modules is strongly preferred (Oracle project, GL, Cost management, etc.)
Responsibilities - Ensure proper project accounting processes are in place and followed
- Ensure projects and related costs are accurately stated in the financial statements
- Weekly Project cost review; provide analysis and reporting on project performance and monthly financial results
- Track and report on capital spend, project capitalization
- Reconcile the Equipment with the Fixed Asset register
- Revenues and costs recognition aligned with the contract terms/conditions
- Process monthend close tasks and adjusting entries
- Field supervisor bonus calculation and process
- Provide analysis on unbilled receivables and unearned revenues
- Sales tax selfassessment and reporting
- Joint Venture accounting, reconciliation, reporting and intercompany settlements
- Ensure coordination of the zone office with the other shared services functions (AP, AR, payroll,
- Accounting, legal, etc.)
- Prepare ad hoc analysis on request
- Participate in internal and external audit requests as needed
- Project Administrator backup
- This role will interact routinely with Boart Longyear Operations management teams.
- Travel up to 10% and remote work flexibility
