    In addition to salary, full-time and part-time permanent employees are eligible for an annual bonus plan, leave of absence top-up programs and provided with generous vacation time, personal days, premium free benefits and pension plan.


    The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role.

    Accountable for the financial results of a personal automobile product portfolio
    Responsible for pricing strategy including continuous improvement in rate segmentation, overall rate level management and evolution of rate algorithms based on organizational strategy
    Works with their peers in other areas like claims, distribution, data science to develop a holistic strategy for their product
    Responsible for regulatory compliance with provincial and federal regulation in product and pricing changes
    Monitors internal performance metrics and external trends with intention to action quickly and stay atop of emerging trends
    Maintains an in-depth knowledge of market and product trends, the competitive environment, regulatory actions and decisions and rallies the appropriate team to formulate and implement a response where required
    Engages senior leaders and facilitates collaboration to drive development and execution of actions as an outcome of portfolio management and serves as the main point of contact for their product line
    Oversee all stages of product creation including design, development, and deployment using Wawanesa's Product Management Process guidelines
    Develops, coaches/mentors and manages the performance of direct reports
    Provides leadership to attract/retain high quality talent
    Creates an environment that encourages productivity, collaboration, teamwork, a high level of professionalism, learning and development and a culture of profitable growth across the products business unit
    Undergraduate university degree in Commerce, Actuarial Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics or other related field of study.
    MBA, ACAS or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society strongly preferred
    CIP, FCIP, or equivalent Property and Casualty industry designation considered an asset
