Compensation Package
- $25 - $32 per hour, wage will be commensurate with experience

Job Summary

Job Title: First Aid Attendant/Safety Officer
Location: Squamish, BC
Position Type: Fulltime

Key Job Responsibilities

Perform safety related tasks on site including field hazard assessments
Ensure all workers on site are following proper safety procedures
Provide medical aid to those injured workers on site
Oversee any health and safety investigations on site/toolbox talks
Potentially participate in the Joint Occupational Health and Safety committee
Train new and young workers/trades on current safety practices
Other "on the tools" duties if necessary, such as housekeeping, moving materials, framing and other tasks depending on experience and capabilities

Key Qualifications

Minimum Level 2 First Aid
At least 1 year first aid work experience in similar setting or someone who has technical understanding of the construction industry would be preferred
Understands safety code rules and regulations
Effective communication and writing skills
Ability to work efficiently with a serviceoriented attitude, tact, and diplomacy under stressful situations with constant interruption
Ability to effectively manage time, responsibilities, and priorities
Traffic control (flagging) is an asset
