ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:


Working as an integral part of the Ta7lneẁás Education, Employment and Training Department, this position reports directly to the Team Leader, Training and Trades Centre.

this position is responsible for full program coordination. The incumbent creates program budget binders and keeps them updated regularly, and ensures all program costs are coded correctly.

This position is responsible for working one-on-one with students on a daily basis, identifying training needs, determining optimal programs for each individual student, checking in with the Health and Wellness Counsellor regarding students in their program, communicating any updates/changes regarding student supports, and providing resource contacts to students in need.

With knowledge of resources available, the incumbent ascertains student eligibility for programs. This position coordinates all components of the TTC programs i.e., culture training, safety training, technical training, and job readiness. The Program Officer works with other team members to support each student with any barriers to training i.e. housing, transportation, etc. The incumbent has excellent time management, organizational, coordination and presentation skills. This position also requires excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and exceptional customer service. S/he operates at a high level of interaction with students/co-workers/stakeholders/management, responding with courtesy, tact and diplomacy. Uses sound judgment to make decisions and works well independently requiring mínimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry is essential.

Salary:
$ 57,144 - $ 63,738 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
