We provide these services to federal, provincial, regional, local and Indigenous governments, to the forestry, energy, mines, petroleum, transportation and utility sectors, and to numerous regional invasive species organizations across Canada.

    Pay rate of $255- $275 per day, paid hourly. Full benefits package. Overtime, statutory holiday, and vacation pay. Work 10 days on with 4 days off.     Key Responsibilities:


    Determine boundary and road layout for future harvesting. Assess riparian features. Traverse boundary and road locations for map creation. Crossing and site plan data collection. Ecology type identification and stratification. Map and identify logging hazards. Complete road engineering estimates and appraisal data field survey. Remote camping and wilderness exploration. Complete timber reconnaissance and stand level timber type stratification. Assist timber cruiser in the field with data collection. Ability to complete job duties in physically strenuous and varying terrains. Other duties as required.

    Experience and Knowledge Expectations:


    1 year of Forestry-related experience. Post-secondary education in natural resources, forestry or a related field is an asset. A valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License, or equivalent, and a current Driver's Abstract. Previous experience operating ATVs and pick-up trucks safely on various road conditions is an asset. Preference may be given to candidates holding a valid BC Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification, or equivalent. Pre-employment drug testing required for safety sensitive positions. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Punctuality, dependability, and accountability in the field. The ability to work away from home for scheduled periods of time. Experience using GPS, avenza, and other mapping programs. Experience working with chainsaws would be considered an asset. A safety conscious attitude. A love of the outdoors.
