We are eagerly searching for an exceptional team member who fits well with our current group dynamic and can execute this particular role with precision.
Job Brief
We are looking for a Prep Cook in daily back of house restaurant operations for our coming breakfast and lunch offerings under the direction of our Kitchen Leads.
Prep Cook responsibilities include supervising the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards.
To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage your time and deliver quality food on time, to ensure our customers have a pleasant dining experience.
Quality service is our main priorityResponsibilities
- Assist the Kitchen Lead with all aspects of food prep
- Ensure kitchen equipment and appliances are ready for use.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times.
- Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use according to health department guidelines
- Knowledge of menu options for service.
- Learn about the cooking methods and techniques employed by the Kitchen Lead offering your own perspective to improve service continually
- Other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Kitchen Lead and Management
Requirements and Skills
- Experience working as a prep cook in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygiene.
- Passionate about culinary arts and creative cooking.
- Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Able to perform well under pressure.
- Physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time.
- Flexibility to work during mornings, afternoons and weekends as you evolve in your role.
- Foodsafe Level 1 is required
- High school diploma or GED.
