The Opportunity:

The Regina Leader-Post is seeking a full-time Digital Editor who will lead our digital operations and strategy.

Excellent leadership qualities and a knowledge of online news presentation are required, as well as the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced multimedia news environment.


What you'll do:


  • Management of the newsroom's digital operations, including website, newsletters and social media channels.
  • Use of website analytics to inform newsroom decision making.
  • Innovating new ideas to bring stories, photos and video to audiences across digital platforms.
  • Acts as the digital lead for the newsroom in chainwide meetings and training.
  • Training other newsroom employees on digital platforms and content management systems.

Who you are:


  • Experience at a daily news organization in a deadlineoriented environment.
  • Fluency in digital platforms, multimedia journalism and social media.
  • Ability to work quickly and independently, meet multiple deadlines, and make efficient decisions.
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a newsroom team.
