JOB OVERVIEW
KF Aerospace is certified by Transport Canada as an Approved Training Organisation for the delivery of aircraft maintenance type training to its employees and customers.
To support the variety of aircraft types (avionics, airframe, and engines) for which we provide training, we are currently seeking an experienced, type endorsed AME who will act as the ATO Person Responsible for Training (PRT).
The ATO PRT is responsible and accountable for the overall development, delivery and tracking of all ATO training sessions. This position is a critical support role for the MRO. Training delivery needs to be designed and scheduled to be supportive and flexible while meeting operational needs.
Working within the Training Services Group (TSG), the Supervisor reports to the Training Services Manager.
The job will require the person to qualify for the PRT designation with Transport Canada.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the ATO Supervisor, your duties will include maintenance of the ATO Policy Manual, oversight of scheduling in concert with the company capacity planner, assisting in development or update of new and existing aircraft maintenance training materials, and providing in class or on-aircraft instruction for endorsement and other technical training.
Examples of the aircraft endorsements include:Airbus 319, 320, 321; Boeing 727, 737, 757, 767; Convair; De Haviland DHC-5, DHC /200/300/400; Lockheed L382
HOURS OF WORK
- 40 per week, Monday-Friday
- General training office hours 7 am 3:30 pm
- Flexibility of scheduled hours and days dependent upon training delivery requirements and course development
DIRECT SUPERVISION OF:
- ATO instructors
WORKS DIRECTLY WITH:
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Hangar Managers
- Shop Manager
- Fellow TSG team members
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid AME licence (M or E)
- Minimum six years experience in the maintenance of aircraft
- Possesses approved maintenance type course or equivalent certificates.
- Experience in Technical Instruction meeting Instructional Techniques requirements, or has completed the Instructional Techniques course, or can complete the Instructional Techniques course.
- Knowledge of maintenance training, development, and delivery
- Ability to travel and conduct courses for Canadian and international locations.
- Able to evaluate, prepare and review training assignments.
- Familiarity with CARS Section 566 and related training standards.
- Proven interpersonal relationship building, communication skills, customer orientation & problemsolving focus.
- Planning, organizing, multitasking skills and attention to detail are required.
- Able to work productively in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent computer skills
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint programs.
