About Accounts Payable Coordinator Role

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, the Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for performing the full cycle accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function for National Diabetes Trust (NDT).


Highlights of this role includes:


  • Monitor the Accounts Payable and Visa inbox daily and responds in a timely manner.
  • Ensure vendor invoices, employee expenses, supporting documents, accounts code, description, and approvals adhere to NDT's policies and procedures.
  • Followup on missing or incomplete supporting documents or authorizations.
  • Inputting vendor invoices and attaching other supporting documents into the accounting system daily.
  • Process the electronic funds transfer (EFT) for all vendors and employee expenses that are due on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors on issues and keep them up to date with payment queries.
  • Perform monthend procedures and reconciliations related to Accounts Payable.
  • Prepare monthly and periodic reports as required and recommend improvements to the Accounts Payable function.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing to ensure smooth and efficient payment process.
  • Additional duties as required ensuring the effective operation of the NDT Finance
About You

  • Minimum College Diploma in Accounting
  • 12 Years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Enrolment in CPA, CGA or CMA program
  • Financial system experience (Unit 4 in particular)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent customer service
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Able to handle multiple priorities.
