SPECIALIST, PRODUCT INTEGRITY

Job Description:

The Specialist, Product Integrity reports into the Manager of Product Integrity and is responsible for ensuring Joe Fresh product meets the set standards for regulatory, performance and product safety requirements.

The focus of this role is to communicate and deploy quality requirements across the organization throughout the product development and manufacturing lifecycle.

Role & Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring finish product meets Joe Fresh product quality, product performance, product integrity, regulatory compliance and product safety requirements prior to factory departure
Attend key product development meetings, conduct product risk assessments, identify potential quality issues and provide recommended solutions with no or mínimal impact on quality, cost and/or deliveries
Responsible for the management of preliminary and bulk product testing and the collaboration with vendors to achieve brand quality standards and regulations
Implement and communicate all aspects of product safety to the organization and external business partners
Work closely with vendors and provide regular followup to ensure testing timelines are maintained
Accountable for the escalation of any and all quality issues, testing failures and potential risk to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance
Collaborate with the Raw Materials and Product Development teams to conduct the necessary preliminary garment tests prior to style adoption
Responsible for tracking and maintaining key calendar milestones
Responsible for maintenance and accuracy of the testing data tracker
Responsible for staying current and maintaining a strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards

Qualifications:

Strong crossfunctional communication and working knowledge of all aspects of product development and production lifecycle
Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design and Technologies
Minimum 4 years of apparel manufacturing experience specializing in quality assurance, production and or technical design
Displays strong oral and written communication skills
Must be forward thinking with a cando attitude
Must have strong analytical skills and be able to make independent decisions
Strong attention to detail, highly organized and proactive
Excellent communications skills
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems knowledge an asset
