Our Inventory Planning and Replenishment Team is looking for a
Compliance Specialist.

Reporting to the Operations Assistant Manager, you will coordinate Home Hardware's Supplier Compliance program for Purchase Order (PO) acceptance and on time product shipments with the intent to improve inventory in-stock position for our Dealer stores and corporate inventory turnover results.

What You'll Do:


  • Work with suppliers to ensure they understand Home Hardware's compliance requirements involving PO's, shipping documentation and on time delivery.
  • Correspond with suppliers to keep them on track for providing ontime Advanced Shipment Notifications (ASNs) and PO Accepts.
  • Maintain supplier database of compliance rules for POs and ASNs. Monitor and maintain all schedules and events in EEM.
  • Maintain EEM database of supplier contacts to trigger PO notifications.
  • Support suppliers with ASN and PO acceptance processing issues and errors involving the appropriate stakeholder(s) for timely issue resolution and followup.
  • Provide internal stakeholders with regular reporting of supplier missed PO acceptance and product shipments and other reporting as required. Produce, analyze, and run reports to support supplier compliance needs with a focus on building and maintaining supply chain performance success measurements.
  • Maintain supplier noncompliant penalty database including manual compliance charges initiated by internal stakeholders and automatically created penalties based on compliance rules.
  • Investigate all compliance disputes, providing documentation of findings and final recommendation. Collaborate with Distribution Centre partners in resolving shipment discrepancies to ensure smooth product flow to Dealer stores.
  • Partner with compliance team to ensure disputes and inquiries are resolved within the guidelines of HH Supplier Compliance program. Work with them to develop new processes to support future supplier compliance initiatives.

What we're looking for:


  • A college diploma in Business or Supply Chain. Relevant work experience will also be considered (35 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehouse Operations).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in both English and French would be an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize, react to changing situations, learn new technologies and processes, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to practice continuous improvement to determine inefficiencies and to streamline tasks.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Oracle, WMS. Knowledge/experience with EEM and RMS would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Home Hardware operations/systems would be considered an asset.
