Hybrid Work Model


SLC Management operates in a hybrid environment with a mix of in-office and virtual work where our employees are empowered to do their best.

Generally, employees are expected to work three days in-office each week with flexibility depending on their business, client and team needs.


What Is in It for You:


What you will do:


  • Business Portfolio Management:_
  • Supports the management and monitoring (budget / tracking / reporting) for an integrated project portfolio plan of all business unit initiatives
  • Contributes to the process for measurement of outcomes, key results, and productivity at the project portfolio level including reporting to stakeholders
  • Assists with the resource supply and demand plan enabling prioritization of business unit and crossfunctional projects
  • Provides coaching to business partners and project resources on the portfolio/project delivery methodologies
  • Applies critical thinking to proactively identify risks and issues across the business unit portfolio of projects using appropriate factbased metrics/assumptions and develops strategies to mitigate from the outset
  • Communicates both project and portfolio performance across the organization focused on alignment to strategic plans, benefits, risks, opportunities, and delivery
  • Assists with the creation of business cases as required
  • Strengthens relationships with clients and within teams, building trust, inspiring confidence, and earning respect
  • Business Project Management:_
  • Plans and executes business unit projects with a high level of complexity and uncertainty including managing scope, requirement changes, priorities, and client outcomes
  • Manage all project communications based on the delivery framework including steering committee presentations, status reports to executives, stakeholders, business units, vendors, project team and other required artifacts to support the project
  • Manages vendors, where applicable, to ensure alignment of project plans, timely delivery, and quality of work
  • Ensures change management plans are developed, socialized, and consistently measured to deliver the expected benefits and adoption
  • Ensures timely engagement of other teams across SLC as required to deliver the desired outcomes (Front / Middle / Distribution, Compliance and Technology)
  • Collaborates with other Program/Project Managers to deliver business unit work packages on crossfunctional projects
  • Drives SLC Finance process improvement initiatives, working with various teams to support change including business process documentation

What you will need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years' experience as a portfolio and project manager; prioritizing work and managing complex projects across the investment domain
  • Demonstrates ownership and personal sense of urgency for solving problems, getting work done and instills the same in their teams especially when there is ambiguity
  • Knowledge and understanding of Project Management practices and disciplines, tools and methodologies; including Agile, Scrum, Iterative and Waterfall.
  • Self motivated and takes ownership to drive assignments through to completion
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to foster internal relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and issue resolution skills.
  • Experience in the Financial Services and Asset Management industry

Preferred Skills:


  • Broader finance services experiencing including industry certifications (CFA, CSC, CPA)
  • Project management or functional experience within Investments, Asset Management and/or Capital Markets organization
  • Project management or Agile certification (Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) Institute, Certified Scrum Master)
