Overview:
The Talent Development (TD) Partner is a champion for a progressive, ownership centric culture at MPI. The TD Partner strives to enable a future-ready workforce that is diverse, inclusive, and development-focused.

This position will work closely with Leaders and employees to identify, develop, and deliver targeted or programmatic development needs, determining strategic solutions that contribute to a high performing, ownership driven, agile culture.

This role is a key contributor to the People & Culture Division (P&C), reporting to the Director, Talent Management and Learning & Development (TMLD).


Under the leadership of the Director, TMLD, the TD Partner will foster learning, leadership, and talent development to enhance individual and organizational performance, fostering a positive employee experience.

The role is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of programs in talent management, employee experience, career development, performance management, leadership development, and learning development and delivery.

Other specific areas of focus include diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI), team development, and coaching.


Responsibilities:


  • Assess and design current programming against future needs and aspirations.
  • Research of best practices, analysing data, understanding gaps and opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Think forward in designing portfolios and associated programming to enable MPI and Our People to evolve and grow.
  • Develop guiding principles, roles, and responsibilities, governance models where needed, identify change impacts and stakeholder needs.
  • Facilitate discussion, dialogue, and identify the best methods to engage (focus groups, surveys, etc.).
  • Work in partnership with HRBPs and senior leaders to identify key performance, skills & knowledge gaps through surveys, focus groups, prioritizing actions, and creating new talentdriven development solutions.
  • A strong service/partnering mindset: cocreate where possible and engage along the way to ensure needs are being met.
  • Program Delivery: End to end ownership of the program from plan to delivery.
  • Proactive project management and planning to ensure all activities take place as planned, risks are identified, mitigation efforts are explored, and when additional support is needed requests are made in a thoughtful, timely manner.
  • Change management and communications needs are assessed upfront and built into the programming accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Public Administration (Human Resources), Commerce (Human Resources), Communication, Psychology, and/or Education or equivalent.
  • Strong client service approach with a growth mindset.
  • A minimum of five years of related experience in:
  • Designing, implementing, and/or executing People & Culture programs.
  • Managing and building learning & development programs.
  • Employee engagement and experience processes.
  • Using technology and data to advance people & culture programs or projects.
  • Project management; experience managing multiple programs and/or projects.
  • Any of the following would be considered an asset:
  • A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).
  • A Prosci Change Management Certificate.
  • A Certified Leadership Coach.
  • An adult education certificate/course.
