Description

We are looking for dedicated and hardworking professionals for the role of Landscaping Maintenance Labourer. Our team is looking to hire two (2) full-time seasonal workers. Individuals with at least 3 years of landscaping experience are encouraged to apply.

Role:
Landscaping Maintenance Labourer (2 positions)

Location:
Ottawa, Canada

Employment Type:
Full-Time, Short-Term 6 months contract

Languages:
Communication skills in English

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary of $19.00 per hour with 40 hours a week minimum;
Statutory benefits including paid vacation as per the ESA standards;
Private health insurance available until the employee is eligible for provincial healthcare;
Travel expenses/relocation costs are covered by the employer.

Responsibilities:

Cutting Grass;
Ongoing Property Cleanups;
Weeding and Turning Flower Beds;
Trimming Bushes and Shrubs;
Fertilizing and Overseeding;
Soil and Mulch Installation;
Planting Flowers, Shrubs and Trees;
Aerating, detaching, and watering lawns;
Digging by hand
Grading for sod installation
Adhering to our safe work practices and procedures;
Being vigilant for safety and hazards at all times.

Experience and Skills Required:

Must have at least 3 years of landscaping experience;
Able to lift 50lbs or more;
Proven experience installing shrubs/trees/sod
A solid understanding of landscape materials gained from experience
Ability to work outdoors for long lengths of time exposure to weather elements (summer and winter);
Must be detailoriented;
Basic garden bed and planter design skills;
Knowledge and the physical ability to use all types of landscape tools required for landscape maintenance such as small mowers, hedge trimmers, blowers and other equipment and tools, as required.
Excellent communication skills;
Presentable and professional at all times;
Good work ethic, punctual and dependable.
