You'll be responsible for:

  • Prioritizing, authorizing, directing, empowering and overseeing management, and assuring and reviewing performance.
  • Ensuring that the governance architecture, supporting processes, procedures are in place to support the successful development and delivery of the program projects.
  • Ensuring that those at the working level are empowered to make daytoday decisions aligned to the overall project objectives.
  • Developing and implementing a governance and assurance framework that provides levels of technical and financial control across the project and throughout the development and implementation phases aligned to the required benefits and objectives.
  • Sharing knowledge, best practice, tools, templates and processes that support strong robust governance and trusted decisionmaking.
  • Developing collaboratively governance and assurance management plan for SSE and for YNSE.
  • Establishing governance plan from gap analysis.
  • Developing and implementing Integrated project RACIs.
  • Confirming drumbeat of reporting and assurance (including monthly SSE report (SRS); monthly SSE report (DP); planning and supporting logistics for submissions to CCB, IP, TB as needed); drumbeat and calendar (meeting register); prefestival and festival report and meeting; governance meetings (change panel, risk review).
  • Develop governance meetings terms of reference.
  • Organizing design structure.
  • Supporting development project delegated levels of authority.
  • Preparing documentation packs for checkpoint submissions.
  • Assurance of checkpoint submissions and requirements.
  • Prepare change control papers following approval to proceed at checkpoints.
  • Developing schedule to support business case.
  • Developing estimate to support business case.
  • Updating finance system (SAP) with all relevant business case/project information including but not limited to sanction and funding levels.
  • Supporting reporting and realization of business case benefits through robust.
  • Providing additional support to the CA as required including organizational design.
  • Implementing secretariat function to support governance drumbeat once implemented as BAU for the projects.

You'll need to have:

  • Ability to prioritize and work as part of a team, lead by example and demonstrate the key importance of governance to successful major infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborative approach and initiative
  • Ability to work with C-Suite and other externals stakeholders with diplomacy and care.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or project management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Project management qualification.
  • Experience working within government, setting up governance frameworks that focus on best for project and value for money outcomes.

You'll also have:

  • Leadership competencies on general project delivery.
  • Desire to manage across sectors and/or global hubs.
