Position Overview
The role of Project Manager is to manage multiple project operations safely on a daily basis. This includes communicating and coordinating daily project goals with Team Leaders/Labourer's.
The Project Manager will ensure delivery on project goals while maintaining high quality standards and update or consult with the Area Manager on project results or changes in the scope of work utilizing the beginning and end of day to get project reports and scope of work updates daily
Responsibilities:
Convert leads into opportunities, assist in the quoting process
Have a comprehensive understanding of what is required to create a scope of work in detail
Deliver Project Management Program
It is the responsibility of a project manager to develop and deliver a project management program encompassing all the details of a project to the team members.
Set Realistic Goals
Project Manager shall set realistic and practical goals for the project. Moreover, PM should also develop appropriate strategies for achieving these goals. PM will be held accountable for coming in on budget and on target to meet the goal
Provide Coaching and Guidance
It is a duty of PM to provide coaching and guidance to the team members about every aspect of the project so that the team members can understand their tasks fully and act on them efficiently.
Identify Resources
PM should identify all the internal and external resources whether financial or human resources required in completing the project successfully and within the allotted budget
Evaluate Projects
It is the job of a project manager to evaluate the progress of each project on a regular basis. This is very important as it helps you to overcome your mistakes and achieve your targets by detecting the mistake or fault in a timely manner and taking immediate massive action
Keep an Eye on Latest Trends
A project manager should keep an eye of latest strategies, tools of the trade and terminologies used in project management worldwide so that they may also adopt them to increase productivity
Internal Communications Strategy
PM will execute an efficient internal communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management within the team.
This is an important task as you cannot achieve your project objectives unless you communicate them properly with your team members and superiors.
External Communications Strategy
execute an efficient external communication strategy for ensuring communication with building owners, clients, supervisors, and consultants. This is an important task to build great relationships with individuals and teams who provide us business.
Build and Implement
PM must build and implement or socialize the best practices for performing all required job tasks safely and efficiently
Additional Requirements:
Operational Management:
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities on the project site to appropriate personnel
- Screen, hire and sign contracts with sub trades and GC's
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Identify any needed changes in the scope of work and communicate those changes to the Area
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise Team Leaders and other team members and influence them to
- Take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification
- 1 year remediation/abatement work experience.
- 35 years Project Management Experience
- 2day asbestos training certificate
- Mold awareness
Knowledge & Experience:
- 35year direct work experience in a leadership role.
- Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in the mold remediation field and asbestos abatement.
- Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Encircle and iPhone apps
Personal Attributes:
- Experience at working both independently and in a teamoriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
- Flexible during times of change.
- Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
- Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Customer service skills an asset.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment is crucial. Work Conditions
