    What You'll Do:


    As a Workday Analyst, you will liaise with and maintain the core global ERP platform to support Northland Power business objectives. You will provide technical expertise for Workday ERP—Human Capital Management (HCM), Performance, Talent, Workforce, Payroll, and other Workday services, conduct business analysis to assess and design enterprise application solutions, and ensure that standards and best practices are followed. You will collaborate closely with Workday team members, internal business partners, and designated vendors to address business demand and support inquiries, ensuring global business applications in scope remain operational within SLAs.

    This role will be based in our Toronto Office.

    Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Manage and support the Workday ERP system, primarily HCM functions, Benefits, Advance Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Talent, Performance, Succession and Payroll.
    • Provide support for other Workday functions, including finance, strategic sourcing and more.
    • Collaborate with business functional owners, superusers, and vendors to align application solutions with organizational objectives.
    • Plan, design, develop, and deploy Workday solutions, create reports, dashboards, KPIs, discovery boards, workbooks, and manage vendor releases, patches, and enhancements.
    • Lead business requirements gathering and prepare business requirements documents.
    • Provide technical leadership for IT/OT application projects and implementations, working with the implementation team and vendors.
    • Maintain IT standards throughout the SDLC.
    • Assist with ongoing system and process improvement initiatives to ensure efficient data flow and reporting capability.
    • Collaborate with the Enterprise Applications Manager to ensure vendors and service providers deliver quality solutions based on SLAs.
    • Develop and maintain all documentation related to the technical environment, including testing and support.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience implementing and supporting Workday, focusing on configuring HR & Payroll modules; Workday HR/Payroll certifications are required. Proficiency in Finance and Strategic Sourcing modules and system integrations is an asset.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience eliciting business requirements and preparing documents.
    • Minimum 5 years supporting business application systems, solution development, technical design, system integration, configuration, deployment, and end‑user support.
    • Strong understanding of human resources principles and HR & Payroll processes.
    • Proficiency in implementing all or most Workday HCM modules.
    • Extensive knowledge of Workday reporting, dashboards, worklets, and KPIs.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft enterprise products and development tools.
    • Experience with Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and traditional SDLC methodologies.
    • Knowledge of ITIL framework.
    • Understanding of SaaS implementation approaches and cloud development tools.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
    • Strong influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Self‑motivated, team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Strong planning and quality decision‑making skills.
    • Strong presentation skills.
