Job description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Financial Controller & Accounting Analyst to manage the accounting infrastructure across multiple business divisions, including:Trading & advisory services
Financial education programs
Subscription-based research and reporting products
This role is responsible for ensuring our books are clean, reconciled, and decision-ready at all times.
This is not a data-entry bookkeeping role.
This is a precision-driven financial operations role for someone who takes pride in clean systems, structured reporting, and financial clarity.
You will not handle client brokerage accounts or sensitive custodial data. This role focuses strictly on business accounting and financial reporting.Core Responsibilities
- Full-Charge Bookkeeping (QuickBooks Required)
Categorize all business transactions accurately
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Maintain a clean and logical chart of accounts
Support monthly close process
- Multi-Division Revenue Tracking
Oversee accounting across:
Trading / Advisory Business
Track advisory fee revenue
Reconcile deposits and invoice records
Maintain revenue reporting by month
Education Division (Courses, Webinars, Subscriptions)
Reconcile Stripe/Kajabi deposits
Track subscription revenue
Monitor refunds and payment discrepancies
Categorize marketing and operational expenses
Research & Report Subscriptions
Track recurring revenue
Monitor churn and payment issues
Maintain revenue summaries
- Financial Reporting
Prepare and maintain:
Monthly Profit & Loss statements
Revenue breakdown by business unit
Cash flow summaries
Expense tracking reports
Financial summaries for leadership review
Books must be accurate, current, and ready for review at any time.
- Systems & Process Improvement
Improve accounting workflows
Maintain documentation of processes
Ensure financial data integrity across systems
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency
Experience reconciling bank and credit card accounts
Familiarity with subscription-based revenue models
Strong understanding of basic financial statements
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting trading firms, RIAs, or financial businesses
Familiarity with Stripe, or subscription platforms
Experience managing multiple revenue streams
Comfort working in entrepreneurial, fast-growing environments
Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
