    Description

    What you'll do:

    As the Petroleum Manager, you are responsible for developing the strategic plan and overseeing the operations of the petroleum, and cardlock locations for Southland Co-op. In this leadership role you will:


    • Oversee the activities of individual locations and store managers to ensure effective store operations.


    •Prepare annual budgets and achieve budgeted financial goals including sales, margins, expenses, employee productivity, inventory turns and overall contribution.


    •Provide budget and financial operational leadership, training and direction during the budget process and prepare business plans to present to senior leadership


    •Assist each location in the development of their annual profit plan and analyze store operating reports to identify trends and recommend corrective action to maintain sales mix and achieve greater margins


    •Analyze existing and anticipated marketing conditions in the division and make recommendations for the retail's marketing plan. Develop merchandising and marketing standards


    •Participate as a member of the senior leadership team to achieve organizational goals and provide insight on your commodity to seek out growth opportunities for the organization


    •Ensure a customer contact program is in place and service standards are being met.

    Who you are:

    You are looking for a career in Petroleum and:


    • You have 8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years of leadership experience.


    • You have strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.


    • You have a background in petroleum, agriculture or logistics. Background in retail an asset.


    • You have a minimum of a 3A license, 1A preferred.


    • You're honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and you strive to be the best at what you do.
