The
Forklift Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, and stacking merchandise.

The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and required to work in the production department.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using a forklift.
  • Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations
  • Fill orders and ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
  • Ensure all orders are completed in an efficient manner meeting customer service standards
  • Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following all health and safety standards
  • Ensures proper stock rotation
  • Able to work independently with mínimal supervision

Job Requirements:


  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Must have or obtain forklift certification
  • Minimum of 3 months of forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment would be an asset
  • Needs to have strong problem solving/communication skills
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours and lift or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail

About VX Resources Canada


Our new company exfoliates vermiculite through an exfoliation process where unexpanded vermiculite flakes are exposed to flash heating, where after they expand to light weight accordion like granules.

The expanded product will be bagged and stored and then sold to customers.
