In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Provincial Health Services Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at PHSA, and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.


Reporting to the Network Director, the Coordinator supports the PC-ICCN leadership team of the PC-ICCN to identify and prioritize projects and initiatives.

The Coordinator provides project workflow, communication and integration support to the PC-ICCN portfolio including providing administrative support to committees and groups.

The role assists in tracking deliverables, ensuring they are on time, and on budget, as identified in the project plans.

This role provides planning and logístical coordination, support for meetings, surveys and needs assessments.

In addition, the Coordinator supports the Directors with communicating to internal and external partners such as the post covid recovery clinic, research enterprises, health authorities and physicians.


What you'll do

  • Supports leaders of the portfolio as well as projects and activities resulting from committee planning or organizational direction. Monitors the implementation of project and committee activities ensuring they are done in an efficient manner, adhere to project protocols and are completed within the required timelines. Identifies where activities do not adhere to guidelines, and works with various stakeholders to investigate, articulate implications, and provide potential solutions.
  • Identifies, collects, and analyzes relevant information relating to current projects, and provides input and recommendations to project/program teams for development, implementation, analysis, dissemination of findings, and policy/practice implications.
  • Assists in budget development ensuring information is current and accurately compiled, monitors expenditures, ensures invoices are authorized to predetermined amounts and analyzes and reports variances. Completes purchase requisitions/online purchasing and forwards for processing and ensures invoices are authorized and submitted for payment.
  • Coordinates evaluation surveys and needs assessment reports. Prepares data entry file for survey results.
  • Assists with the development of web communications and related materials. Initiates, and provides support in the development, maintenance and updates of web and social media content.
  • Coordinates and attends committee meetings ensuring welldefined and timely agendas, identification of and notification to interested parties, compilation of background information and supporting materials and preparation of packages/summary documents to assist in decision making and meeting facilitation. Makes catering, travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Supports the management and facilitation of timelimited projects and programs to identify best practice
- grounded strategies and activities for providers caring for post COVID patients. Supports portfolio and committee chairs with the coordinating the implementation of approved recommendations resulting from research, best practice, and policy reviews.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

Qualifications:


  • A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Health or Social Sciences plus a three (3) years in a responsible research assistant, project coordinator, or policy analyst role in a health, social services, government, or community organization.
- consensus-building skills; excellent oral and written communications skills. Demonstrated ability to model and support full team commitment to Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism.
