The Procurement Intern will be responsible for supply chain and procurement administrative support and coordination support of renewable energy projects and operations.

_RESPONSIBILITIES_
Under the supervision and in close collaboration with the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Intern is responsible for providing administrative, clerical, and coordination support to the Procurement Manager:
Research suppliers for various products and services for renewable energy projects in Canada, USA, or other locations.

Respond to and organize meetings with suppliers and service providers.

Build a database of suppliers and services providers.

Prepare and send out requests for quotations/proposal/information (RFQ/RFP/RFI), prepare analysis tables; contact suppliers for clarification.

Produce various purchasing reports including but not limited to supplier due diligence, site reports

Classify and archive physical and electronic documents, including the development and management of systems for the following:

  • RFP/RFQ/RFI for new and operating projects,
- contract and document redline tracking

  • Due diligence investigations
  • Official communications with key stakeholders, suppliers, and service partners
Provide clerical support in the form of editing documents, redline tracking, and database organization.

Any other related tasks requested by supervisor.


Works with other members in the group, other Kruger departments ( Engineering, Accounting, Legal, Operations, IT and Development), or external consultants to achieve his assigned objectives.

May need to work with equipment vendors to understand market products and procurement of project specific equipment.


_QUALIFICATIONS_
- _ACADEMIC_

  • Studying to complete a bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering or related education.

_EXPERIENCE_

_SKILLS AND ABILITIES_

  • Asset: Autonomy and versatility
  • Asset: Comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Be able to meet the physical requirements of the job such as site visits and assessments
  • Be available to travel in Canada and the United States if required.

_LANGUAGES_

  • Demonstrate proficiency in English and French.
