Schedule:
Varied rotating shifts; including evenings, weekends, overnights, and public holidays

Roles & Responsibilities:

This position involves working in a shortterm livein treatment setting a 24/7 site providing daytoday support to youth
Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships and attend to the diverse needs of youth
Provide a safe and supportive environment for participants; intervene, remain calm and focused in crisis situations while utilizing effective deescalation and decisionmaking skills
Primary contact with community social workers and other community partners to support involvement in personcentred programs that promote educational, behavioural, developmental, psychological, and emotional growth

Qualifications:

Postsecondary education in Community and/or Social Services (e.g., SSW, CYC)
Minimum two (2) years of related experience is preferred
Demonstrated understanding of support requirements specific to the roles and responsibilities of the job
Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
Strong mentorship, advocacy, organization, communication, decisionmaking, and problemsolving skills, in addition to attention to detail while multitasking
Ability to work collaboratively with the team, and independently as necessary
Capacity to establish, implement, and maintain professional, and personal boundaries
Multilingualism and having diverse lived experiences are considered assets
Valid Class G (full) Driver's License with a 3year Uncertified Driver Record (mandatory)
Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check with Humana listed as the employer (mandatory)
Physical Health assessment: verification of uptodate immunizations, COVID vaccination status (2 doses), and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position (mandatory)
Current Standard First Aid & CPR (mandatory), Level C with AED training preferred
