Job description
We are a local manufacturing company specializing in equipment for the marine industry and custom metal fabrication. We are seeking to hire a highly skilled metal fabricator / welder. Candidates must have 5 years experience in aluminum and stainless steel tig and mig welding with high quality skills in both welding and fitting. A deep knowledge of all welding procedures is necessary with a strong focus on quality. Job experience in a CWB environment would be an asset. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment, with the ability to learn quickly and possess some mechanical abilities.
Primary duties will include welding fabrication and fitting and operating metal forming and cutting equipment. In addition, the following skills would be valued:
- Metal fabrication using a CNC press brake, fiber laser table and plate roll
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to fabricate metal components
- Hand held plasma cutting
- Hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude
All candidates will be required to perform an on site welding and fitting test.
We value ambitious, hard working individuals who are good at problem solving and time management. Overtime hours may be required depending on workload. Hourly rate will be competitive and based on experience.
