The services we offer include manufacturing custom equipment, performing installations, millwrighting, refurbishing equipment, and performing repair on customer sites for virtually every make and model of balers, compactors, and garbage chute systems.


At this time, we are looking for a
Brake Press Operator to support our Brampton's production team in our custom weld shop.

All raw material is sheet metal. This is a long-term permanent position - see company benefits below.


JOB DUTIES

  • Set up and operation of Hydraulic Brake Press
  • Set up and operation of Shear
  • Transport of raw material manually or using fork truck
  • Cut and bend sheet steel components to shop drawing specifications.
  • Cut and bend in house parts and ensure quantities are acceptable to meet demand.
  • Maintain equipment and report any issue to Supervision.
  • Follow work orders and Service requisitions and ensure components are completed for scheduled dates.
  • Ability to read and Interpret Shop Drawings/blueprints
  • Ability to calculate bend tolerances
  • Measuring of parts
  • Follow quality control procedures
  • Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications according to drawings.
  • Read specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Clean and lubricate equipment
  • Maintain Inspection logs for equipment

REQUIREMENTS
-
3+ years Press Brake experience is ideal:

  • Brake press machine set up
  • Must pass practical shop test showing ability to set up and operate Press Brake
  • Metal fabrication experience is required
  • Safety conscience of surrounding machinery

Equipment:

Shear is a 10ft Haco. The brake press is an All Steel 10ft 120 ton capacity.
Gauges of steel used are 10,12,14, 16, some 1/4".
Manual equipment.
