What you would engage in:


  • Conduct technical work in support of mine development and environmental baseline and assessment studies
  • Participate in site investigations and remediation, and due diligence projects
  • Assist with field monitoring and data collection programs as part of a field team, including environmental studies (e.g., water sampling, hydrology, vegetation and wildlife surveys)
  • Perform site inspections at local and remote sites
  • Support Project Managers in the delivery of a wide variety of projects, with tasks including budget and schedule tracking, invoicing, coordination and logistics
  • Conduct research, compile, manage and evaluate data and assist in report preparation
  • Expand your knowledge by attending conferences and trainings

What we require:

We do however require the following qualifications:

  • A degree in environmental or natural sciences, engineering, or related field
  • Experience in environmental work related to mining, oil sands, oil and gas, or hydroelectric industries
  • Exposure to field sampling for surface water, groundwater, soil, rockfill and bedrock
  • An interest in conducting environmental studies aligned to Provincial and Federal Environmental Legislation and permitting processes (e.g., Mines, Water, Environmental Management, Lands, and/or Forest Act permits)
  • Ability to work extended hours in remote flied locations as required
  • Eligibility for registration as a professional geoscientist (P.Geo)
  • Experience with best management practices, construction, environmental monitoring, environmental program management and environmental management plans
  • Strong communication skills (French and Spanish language skills are an asset)
