Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of the field.
- Instruct curriculum using only preauthorized and provided materials.
- Teach students using a diverse and systematic plan of lectures, presentations, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, case studies, and independent or group projects.
- Administer and marks quizzes, assignments, exams and/or other assessments to monitor and evaluate students' progress according to guidelines and procedures.
- Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently and return student marks promptly.
- Provide feedback on student performance.
- Arrange feedback from students on the instructor, content, and facility at the end of each course.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to student needs and individual circumstances in a multicultural environment.
- Resolve student complaints and concerns with a positive and professional attitude.
- Maintain attendance records accurately.
- Assure that classrooms are left in a clean and orderly fashion at end of class without loss of or damage to equipment or other resources.
- Provide support to the admissions team with potential students who have questions about the program or future career.
- Participate in scheduled meetings and annual events like graduation.
- Maintain confidentiality of student privacy and information.
- Display an attitude of teamwork and problem solving.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database systems
- Excellent oral and written communication to present information in a way that students will understand as well as adapt to the different learning styles
- Professional business attire and interpersonal skills to act as a mentor and role model
- Online teaching (training provided, but computer skills are essential)
Qualifications

Must have a diploma or degree in the related discipline

- Must present with a minimum of two (2) years current, relevant work experience

$25.00-$27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- No weekends
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
