- building fibre optic infrastructure and are not a reseller of the incumbent telecommunication carriers.


We are an entrepreneurial company seeking a leader who can inspire their team through tactical financial planning and operational excellence.


The Role:


Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for setting the direction of the company's finance and accounting business unit while providing mentorship and oversight for the financial planning and delivery of our telecommunications infrastructure, related services, supporting our operations, business development and sales and marketing teams in the execution of our 5-year strategic plan.


Your responsibilities:

  • Provide the CEO and executive team with strategic financial guidance and budgets for infrastructure projects and
G&A related expenses across all business functions within the organization while analyzing to actual results

  • Set and manage our 5year financial strategy across all operating functions of the organization to establish, measure and update annual, quarterly and monthly operating, marketing, sales, HR and capital expenditures
  • In collaboration with the C-Suite team, establish annual Capex and Operating budgets for review and approval by the CEO and Board
  • Development and implementation of financial accounting policies and procedures with ERP integration across all business units
  • Lead in submissions, negotiations and management for all financing activities related to government grant opportunities, debt structures and equity raise
  • Manage engagements with external stakeholders that include audit partners, financial advisory firms and financial lending institutions
  • Provide mentorship, oversight, process development and execution of daytoday financial activities of internal staff across all departments encompassing Accounting & Finance, Operations, Sales & Marketing and Human
Resources

  • Analysis and distribution of organization wide KPI's on a weekly and monthly basis, providing each business unit with guidance on operational, sales and financial execution and performance
  • Analysis of organizational wide performance and monthly KPI's to be reported at the Board level
  • Development of monthly, quarterly and annual board packages, along with preparation of materials for annual shareholders meeting
  • Participate in the development of our strategic business plan while identifying market opportunities for expansion

Experience, Knowledge, and Attributes:

  • Postsecondary degree in a business discipline; B.Com or MBA with a CPA or CFA designation
  • Minimum 10years experience in an operational finance leadership role, preferably in telecommunications, oil and gas midstream or utility construction
  • Strong understanding and experience in raising capital
  • Excellent understanding of how finance integrates with all business units within an organization to provide strategic guidance
  • Expertise in GAAP, IFRS and corporate tax
  • Exceptional ability to strategically plan and execute financial and operational goals with a multifaceted team leading through your own personal actions and ability to foster positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
