Job Title:
Milling Associate

This role is currently vacant and we are actively hiring

2 positions available for the night shift.

$ $19.00/hr.

Reports to:
Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager


Hours:
Monday to Friday 3:30 pm to 12am – NIGHT SHIFT

Some Saturdays may be required.

Job Summary/ Purpose:
Milling Associate will be required to operate execute milling and blending operations.

Ensure milling machines are performing efficiently to complete daily requirements of Production Schedule with commitment to accuracy, quality and efficiency.

Milling associates will be required to ensure that output quality and within company standards and requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible to adhere to and maintain and promote a positive company culture.

Promote and maintain the highest level of cleanliness inside the production area and facility by routinely cleaning and sterilizing equipment

Prepare the correct equipment and supporting items in preparation for the start up.

Set up, calibrate, and clean machine in advance of a production cycle.

Troubleshoot issues that may occur during operation of equipment.

Ensure and uphold quality standards throughout production run of milling cannabis

Responsible for ensuring documentation is correct for the entire run and all materials match up with specific runs. Including but not limited to, Lot #, Strain, Brand, and inspections of product.

Ensure and review accuracy in data entry and ensure production forms are filled out correctly and consistently.

Communicate effectively with management and other departments as needed.

Confirm and review accuracy on reconciliation of materials and cannabis.


Ensures team adheres to safety requirements and ensures proper PPE is always worn, including by not limited to steel toe shoes, facemasks, respirators, hearing protection, lab coat, and gloves.

Ensure team complies with SOPs as they relate to daily work activities compliance with regulations to the Cannabis Act

Look for opportunities for improvements, monitor outputs closely,

Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

Must be able to read and write English and communicate with employees effectively.

Must be Self-directed and motivated.

Able to perform tedious/repetitive tasks with a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs

Must have a clear criminal record (background checks will be conducted prior to start date)

Work with respirator, facemask, and/or hearing protection for an extended time.

Prolonged standing, lifting, squatting, and/or bending.

Long hours may be required on occasion and overtime as required.

Previous Cannabis and/or production machine operator experience is an asset.

Previous knowledge of GPP, GAP and/or GMP regulations considered an asset
