Key Assets Nova Scotia (KANS) provides alternate care along with a wide variety of programming and other services to support children, youth and families.

Working in partnership with statutory bodies, KANS strives to develop creative and innovative trauma-informed programs for the provision of unique and supportive services, tailored to meet the needs of children, youth, and families, and designed to work towards improving outcomes.

Windsor, NS for the position of:

Child and Youth Care Worker(s) - Full-time and Part-time Positions Available

We are looking for innovative and creative Child and Youth Care Workers to provide care, supervision, and support to young people with complex needs.

The work is varied and will include relationship building, planning, and participating in social and recreational activities including land-based activities, teaching life skills, providing educational supports and developing and implementing individualized intervention plans.

The successful applicant(s) must be confident, energetic, adaptable, patient, self-aware, physically active, and able to safely intervene in crisis situations.

Shift work, including weekends, is required._

Education & Experience:

- required diplomas/degrees
- clear Police Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector)
- clear Child Abuse Registry Check
- valid Driver's License
- clear Driver's Abstract

A personal vehicle you can use for work
Vehicle insurance, including $2,000,000 thirdparty liability coverage
Standard First Aid/CPR certification
Food Safety of Food Handler's certificate

- valid proof of ability to work in Canada

Key Assets Offers:

Competitive salary, commensurate with education and experience, of $22.06 to $24.96 (current salary is under review)
Competitive RRSP contribution matching up to 5% of contribution
