    Description

    Lafarge, one of Canada's leading suppliers of ready mix concrete, seeks Volumetric Concrete truck drivers for the Hamilton and Niagara areas during the upcoming construction season.

    This is a part-time seasonal position that may become full-time depending on workload. Some locations operate year-round.

    Location: Niagara Falls, Ontario

    Teamsters Union position

    Hourly with pension and benefits

    Responsibilities:

    • Operate a Volumetric Concrete Truck safely and deliver concrete to customers in a timely manner.
    • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
    • Maintain the appearance of the truck and assist with light maintenance at the Concrete plant.
    • Complete paperwork, including circle checks and delivery tickets.

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 diploma
    • Experience:
    • Clean driving record
    • DZ Ontario Driving License
    • 3-5 years of experience in the trucking industry preferred
    • Training will be provided for operating the Volumetric Concrete truck.
    • Physical Attributes:
    • Lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, reaching, push/pull, gripping, squatting, etc.
